Since Hurricane Maria, thousands of families across Puerto Rico have lived in homes weakened by storms, earthquakes, and years of deferred repairs. Every hurricane season raises the risk.
For these families, preparing doesn't start with buying supplies.
It starts with a safer roof.
How we do it
We rebuild
Hurricane-resistant roofs for low-income families who can't afford repairs on their own, built to withstand every season.
We train
Our Learn and Serve model trains residents in carpentry and resilient roof construction while they rebuild real homes, guided by experienced carpenters.
We strengthen
Every graduate enters the workforce with employable skills, helping close Puerto Rico's construction labor shortage and becoming new community leaders, trained and ready to serve when the next need arises.
The goal: 3 roofs before the peak of the season
Our goal this season: rebuild up to 3 vulnerable roofs for the families most at risk, before the most active stretch (August through October).
Every roof completed before the next storm means one more family with a safer shelter.
